The estimated calcium requirements for women who are 50 years and younger, and for men 70 years and younger is 1,000 mg of Ca per day. For women over the age of 50 and for men over the age of 70, the daily intake is 1,200 mg of Ca per day. Along with Ca supplements, consume calcium-rich foods like kale, tofu, milk or yogurt, beans, orange juice etc. Also, ensure that there is proper vitamin-D intake as it aids in calcium absorption.
